Resorts

"Our family of three -- husband, me, and our then 4 year old daughter went to Rose Hall in Jamaica in May. It was all inclusive. We got a Travelzoo Deal so I think all told we paid less than $2,000 for a week -- that includes airfare.

Warning -- the reason that we got that deal is that the place was being seriously renovated. The main pool was closed and one wing of the hotel was closed. It did not bother us at all.

The kid friendly pool with zero depth entry, bubblers, a lazy river, and 2 water slides was open. That pool has a swim up bar and no one minded at all when my daughter camped out on one of the stools and "dove" off of it for hours. It also has a beach with lots of shade and calm water. There were 3 restaurants open when we were there too.

We took a cruise when our daughter was about 2.5 and did not really have a good time. This was perfect. They had a hotel babysitting service and when they are at full staff they have a kids club.

Try Spirit Airlines for the flights if you don't have oodles of frequent flyer miles to cash in."
