h.. The Unofficial Guide to WDW is good, but you might not even need it since you shouldn't have crowds, but it is a must read if you are going during a busy time of year.
i.. We used the Unoffical Guide before and during the whole trip. It has great itineraries "touring plans" for seeing the sights and riding the rides in the most time efficient manner. Detailed explanations of the rides so we could rule out those that might be too scary for our 4 year old (who was the right height most rides.)
j.. We also bought a book with pictures (something "by kids for kids"-- forget the exact name) that we have been looking at with him to get him ready. This also has some of the height requirements for various rides which is useful.
k.. Best guidebook: www.passporter.com (can also get at www.Amazon.com
l.. I highly recommend the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World by Bob Sehlinger. It's got a lot of great tips (including visiting with kids), and it has good strategies for beating the lines, fitting everything in, etc. (At this time of year, the lines are pretty short, but it's still useful.)

"I was doing some research for an upcoming WDW trip and came upon this fantastic site that has lots of information and wanted to share it ...
www.talkdisney.com

"I would highly recommend the Tour Guide Mike site:
www.tourguidemike.com
It costs $21.95, but its worth the money. It has tons of tips on visiting from a guy who gives VIP tips to Disneyworld for a living. It also is great for tracking and planning an itinerary."

"Also note www.allears.net is an unofficial Disney-type website which posts menus to the various Disney restaurants--very helpful resource so you can get an idea of cuisine, kid's menus and price ranges!"

"Reputable online sites that sell discounted Disney tickets. I got 3 recommendations for www.aaa.com and one for www.Mapleleaftickets.com
AAA only offers discounts on certain types of tickets (maily ParkHoppers) whereas Mapleleaf offers a small discount on every type of ticket."

"Buy the Unofficial Guide to WDW before you leave and plan your days - which parks you'll go to on which days, where you'll eat at night, which fireworks whow you'll go see etc. (even if you like to live a little more spontaneously, do this, because it will make your life easier - you'll spend more time having fun and less time on line and waiting to eat)."

"First off get the unofficial guide to disneyworld--it will help answer your questions, along with the disney insider site online."
Disney: Websites and Books
I can't answer any of your questions but still have something to offer. www.mousesavers.com considers itself "your source for every kind of Disney discount, helpful information for a Disney vacation, and codes and coupons for Disney merchandise." (I actually use the site for their rental car discount codes, which are good nationally.) Hope the site helps.

"You can look at the "Unofficial Guide to Disneyworld" at the library to get more information than you ever thought could be written about a theme park...
You can check www.allearsnet.com -- a great site with all things Disney. Check on their "when to go" section.
Check out a website like www.mousesavers.com to get the low down on the crowds, as well as your other questions."

"We've used www.vrbo.com to find townhouses for rent, which gives us more room & a full kitchen. You should be able to find a 3 bedroom for under $900/week, and there's usually a nice pool to hang out in. Our kids love the water, so that's what we've ended up doing a lot of the time, plus little day trips."

"My extended family all went to Disney last fall. I recommend the complete guide to Disney available at any bookstore. It has all kinds of tips for attractions, hotels, travel, restaurants... everything, and a 365 day guide that tells which parks are best to visit each day of the year. Our family went for a week and bought a three day pass which we used every other day. We relaxed in our resort at the pool on off days together. We also went to the park as it opened in the morning. Came home for a nap after lunch and visited another park in the evening. Our girls were 3 and 1 1/2."

"The other tip I'd offer is to purchase the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World - or at least thumb through it at the bookstore."

"I highly recommend www.disboards.com and www.mousesavers.com for pre-trip advice and planning. Have fun!"
