"I guess my only advice is that Disney can sometimes be very 'in your face' entertainment. Let your child be your guide as to what is the right level of excitement for him. When [son] was 3 1/2, we could have ditched the park fees, and ridden the monorail all day and he would have been just fine. He also was very afraid of some of the rides, so we would get to the front and he would tell me he had to go to the bathroom to try and "escape" (FYI—they are very nice about this, and will let you back in line at the front of the line.) The fireworks were also too loud for him then, so you could probably ditch the night shows if it is past his bedtime. He liked it when he was 5. For the 3-D movie, he took his glasses off. This past visit, we had missed It's a small world because they were renovating it at the time we did our other two visits. It was practically the only ride I went on, and I thought it was awesome in a nostalgic but now re-done kind of way."
Welcome to Parents Start Here!
Mama Sprout here! As a Mom, I am overwhelmed by all the things out there for and about kids and family! Where to start? What are the most important things needed? What fits our needs the best? What's healthy behavior? What are "normal" bodily functions? In order to make informed decisions, I talk to alot of parents and I've joined online parent groups.
