Disney

"Staying on site is definitely worth the extra cost with preschoolers. SO much easier to take Disney transportation to and from hotels and there is a lot of value added in other ways, too. You may even find you spend an entire day at your Disney Hotel w/o venturing into the park. We stayed at the Disney Yacht Club and between the little sandy beach on site, excellent pools, water taxi across the lagoon, and proximity to the Disney Boardwalk we spent a lot of time at the hotel. I'd recommend purchasing your park tickets (which are pricey) in advance through AAA if you are a member - they offer discounts on the hotels as well. It's something like a 10% discount off regular prices for the tickets. The other tip I'd offer is to purchase the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World - or at least thumb through it at the bookstore. Great tips & info that is not the party line.

We took our son in May 2005 when he was 2 1/2 and had a great time. We took the attitude that we'd be back in the future so we just followed our son's lead and didn't try to cram too much into any day. It made a big difference and the trip was actually relaxing AND fun. Have a great time!"
